The Midlands Family Business Awards is a not-for-profit initiative that aims to highlight the achievements of Midlands-based family businesses and their leaders. The awards are open to all sizes of family businesses across all industry sectors.
There are 10 award categories and you can enter as many categories as you wish - this is your chance to let your business shine! Nominations are open until midnight on Tuesday 27 July 2010 and you can find out more about each category by clicking on the link below.
Five businesses or individuals will be shortlisted in each category and go forward to the final judging stage, which will take place in September. We are grateful to our growing panel of esteemed judges, drawn from eminent family businesses both within and outside of the Midlands region.
The winners and two runners-up in each category will be announced at a glamorous awards ceremony at family-owned Thrumpton Hall in Nottinghamshire on 11th November. For ticket information, please email lbradley@wilorg.com.
Not sure if yours is a family business? We define a family business as being "influenced by a family or by a family relationship, and that perceives itself to be a family business.... For example, the family as a body may effectively control business operations because it owns more than 50% of the voting shares, or because family members fill a significant number of the top management positions".
