Welcome to the Midlands Family Business Awards

Thanks to the hugely valuable support from our sponsors, we are able to run the Midlands Family Business Awards as a not-for-profit initiative.

We are conscious that not all children are born into the same opportunities or values that are often the privilege of those born into successful family businesses. The funds raised by the Awards, over £20,000 to date, are as a result of the unwavering generosity of our many supporters and the family businesses themselves, through sponsorship, fundraising events, donations, charity raffles and ticket sales for the Awards dinner itself.

This year the funds raised through the Midlands Family Business Awards will support two charities, the Alzheimer's Society and Headway.

Meet our 2016 Charities...

Alzheimer's Society

As you may know, 850,000 people live with dementia in the UK alone with numbers predicted to rise to over one million by 2021. Alzheimer’s Society provides information and support for people with all forms of dementia and those who care for them. We run quality care services, fund research, advise professionals and campaign for improved health and social care and greater public understanding of dementia. Support from people taking part in fundraising will help to ensure that our valuable work continues. www.alzheimers.org.uk

Headway

Brain injury can challenge every aspect of your life – walking, talking, thinking and feeling – and the losses can be severe and permanent. It can mean losing both the life you once lived and the person you once were. Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury. Through its network of more than 130 groups and branches across the UK, it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as to professionals in the health and legal fields. www.headway.org.uk
