The Midlands Family Business Awards is a not-for-profit venture and all proceeds raised will go to the following charities supporting young enterprise and young people.
Venture Foundation
The Venture Foundation is a new charity dedicated to supporting the lives of young people through scholarships, projects and programmes intended to develop self esteem. personal growth and talent and to improve wellbeing, health and fitness.
With support from forward thinking organisations who see that direct and positive action with young people will improve society in general and give a positive appreciation of their organisation. Sponsoring organisations are able to promote and enjoy the success of the scholarship students that they support.
The Venture Foundation is also dedicated to the development of social, sporting and vocational links and is planning more CSR based programmes that will generate direct benefit for those organisations on whose support the young people in the Midlands depend for their development and prosperity.

The Children's Society
The Children's Society delivers a wide-range of expert services, in direct response to local need, that helps to improve the lives of children wherever they might be, and with whatever challenge that they face.
Through various projects and initiatives, The Children’s Society helps children with disabilities, children that have runaway from home, children living in poverty and those who need positive role models and support to prevent them entering a downward spiral of decline. Their aim is to make childhood better for every child.
Proceeds from the Family Business Awards will support The Children’s Society’s Midlands-focussed work, including the National Mentoring Initiative pilot in Nottingham, which involves working with the child and parent to give them the extra help and support that they need. It also includes the STARS project, which helps local children whose parents misuse drugs or alcohol. The charity seeks to improve the life experiences and choices of these children; helping them to develop the strategies and skills that they need to cope; and ensure that they are safe and have a trusted adult that they can turn to.
