With family businesses making a significant contribution to our economy, this award recognises those family businesses that also make a difference to their community, perhaps through supporting local initiatives, charity work, demonstrating commitment to their industry sector or taking extra care of employees and their families.
Award criteria
Businesses must be family businesses and be based in the Midlands. The community project or initiative must have taken place within the last two years.
Judging details
The judging panel will be led by Tim Storer, managing director of Leicestershire family business, Pukka Pies. The five shortlisted businesses will be invited to an informal interview in Plumtree, Nottinghamshire on Thursday 13 September.
