The Alumet Group are specialist contractors for the construction industry. They are able to design, manufacture and install everything required for the external façade of commercial buildings, including windows, doors, cladding, curtain walling, solar shading and much more.
Their latest diversification is into the renewable technologies industry through their EOS Energy brand which provides solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to both commercial and domestic clients.
EOS Energy has been a huge success, having completed contracts in excess of £5m. The company were also named Commercial Installer of the Year at the Renewables Awards 2011.
The company are committed to developing the environmental standards of the region and have introduced an innovative campaign called "Community Green" which aims to make the region the most sustainable in the country. They have secured £20 million of funding, which provides the finances to be able to offer free solar PV on up to 2000 local domestic and commercial buildings. The systems will be completely free to the user, with the investment being recouped via the Government's Feed-in-Tariff.
By installing solar panels on these buildings, around £500,000 will be saved in electricity bills and the area's carbon footprint will be greatly reduced. It will also allow EOS Energy to recruit an additional 50 members of staff from the local area.
